1-Hour Express Self-Tan Mousse for a Natural Dark Bronze

Fake It Till You Make It is a 1-hour express self-tan mousse from b.tan that builds a natural dark bronze on the skin with no orange undertones. The lightweight foam dries down quickly and is easy to layer over a first coat to touch up any missed spots, so the finish lands streak-free. Naturally derived Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is the self-tanning active; a tinted bronzer base gives an instant guide colour at application so the layer is easy to see and blend. The 200ml bottle is formulated without parabens and is vegan and cruelty-free.

How to Apply?

• Exfoliate the skin and make sure it is clean and fully dry before application.
• Slip on a tanning mitt to keep the mousse evenly distributed and the palms clean.
• Dispense the foam onto the mitt and work it over the body in circular motions, blending lightly around knees, elbows, ankles and wrists. If a spot is missed, layer a second pass over the first coat to touch it up.
• Leave the foam to develop for at least 1 hour for a natural finish, or up to several hours for a deeper, darker tan — avoid water, sweat and tight clothing during development.
• Rinse off with warm water without using soap or shower gel, pat the skin dry, and wash the hands and fingertips thoroughly with soap.

Use on freshly exfoliated, clean and dry skin. A tanning mitt keeps application even and the palms clean.

• Exfoliate the body in the shower and dry off thoroughly — moisturiser, deodorant and perfume should not be on the skin at this stage.
• Slip on a tanning mitt and dispense 2–3 pumps of mousse onto it.
• Work the foam over the body in circular motions, starting at the legs and moving upward; use what is left on the mitt to lightly blend around knees, elbows, ankles, wrists and the backs of the hands.
• If a spot looks lighter than the rest, layer a second pass of mousse over the same area to even it out — the formula is built to layer for a streak-free finish.
• Leave the foam to develop for at least 1 hour for a natural depth, or longer for a darker result. Avoid water, sweat and tight clothing during development.
• Rinse off with warm water only (no soap or shower gel) and pat the skin dry. Wash the hands and fingertips thoroughly with soap and water.

Tips

• Moisturise daily after the tan has developed to keep the finish even as it fades.
• Reapply every few days to maintain the depth of bronze.
• Avoid the face if a more controlled face-tan finish is preferred — apply only to the body and use a dedicated face product if needed.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Patch test on a small area of skin 24 hours before first use if the skin is sensitive or reactive. This product does not contain sunscreen and does not protect the skin from UV exposure.
