Professional Pre-Service Peptide Mist for Bonded Repair Before Chemical Treatments
K18 Professional Molecular Repair Hair Mist is the in-salon pre-service step of the K18PEPTIDE system, built around the patented sh-Oligopeptide-78 (K18PEPTIDE). The leave-in mist is applied before bleach, colour or other chemical service so the peptide can reach into the cortex and help reconnect broken polypeptide chains, reinforcing strength along the length and width of the hair fibre so the service performs better and damage is reduced.
Why Choose It?
- Patented K18PEPTIDE (sh-Oligopeptide-78) reconnects broken polypeptide chains inside the hair cortex
- Reinforces strength along the length and width of the fibre before bleach, colour or other chemical service
- pH 7.5–8.0 opens the cuticle so the peptide reaches damage sites in the cortex
- Lightweight leave-in mist — processes in 4 minutes, not rinsed out before the chemical service
- Pro-use spray format with quadrant-by-quadrant application designed for salon workflow
Best For
Damaged hair undergoing a chemical service — bleaching, lightening, colouring or other professional chemical treatments. Designed for professional use as the pre-service step of the K18PEPTIDE system so the chemical service performs more evenly and the hair stays stronger afterwards.
Use as the pre-service step before bleach, colour or another chemical treatment, then follow with a K18 peptide repair mask after the service to complete the bonded repair routine.
- Lightly dampen the hair with water so the mist distributes evenly.
- Section the hair into four quadrants and spray 10 full sprays per quadrant, increasing up to 20 sprays for longer, denser or more damaged hair.
- Let the mist process for 4 minutes — do not rinse out.
- Proceed with the planned bleach, colour or other chemical service directly over the treated hair.
- After the service, rinse and shampoo without conditioner or mask, then apply the K18 peptide repair mask for 4 minutes to complete the routine.
Tips
- Always apply on cleanly sectioned, slightly damp hair — quadrant-by-quadrant coverage is what ensures consistent peptide delivery.
- Scale the spray count to the client: 10 sprays per quadrant for shorter or less damaged hair, up to 20 sprays per quadrant for long, dense or heavily damaged hair.
- Keep the 4-minute processing window before starting the chemical service — that is the time the peptide needs to reach damage sites in the cortex.
