REF ProPlex 01 Bonder is the first step of REF Stockholm's three-part ProPlex salon system, designed to be mixed directly into colour or bleach during the chemical service. The water-based formula carries a Sodium Methoxy PEG-16 Maleate/Styrene Sulfonate Copolymer — the active bonding agent that helps reconnect broken disulfide bonds inside the hair shaft — alongside Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Ascorbic Acid and Panthenol as supporting conditioning and antioxidant components. 100% vegan and cruelty-free per REF brand positioning.

Best For

Salon colour and bleach services where the goal is to keep the hair structure intact through the chemical process. Used by colourists as the in-process step before Perfector 02 at the basin and Maintainer 03 at home. Not a stand-alone home product — pairs with the full REF ProPlex protocol.

Step 01 of the three-part ProPlex protocol — mixed directly into the colour or bleach formula. Follow at the basin with REF ProPlex 02 Perfector, and extend the result between visits with REF ProPlex 03 Maintainer.

• Prepare the colouring or bleaching mixture according to its own instructions.
• Add REF ProPlex 01 Bonder to the prepared mixture at the recommended ratio.
• Apply the combined mixture to the hair as you normally would for that service.
• Process the colour or bleach for its usual development time.
• Rinse thoroughly and shampoo if the service requires it.
• Apply ProPlex 02 Perfector at the basin and leave on for around 10 minutes, then rinse.
• Finish with a matching REF conditioner.

Tips

• Between salon visits, support the result at home with a colour-care wash such as REF shampoo.
• Designed for use under a colourist's direction — follow the dosing ratio specified for the colour or bleach brand in use.
• Store the bottle upright at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
